Magical Adventures Await: A Guide to Disneyland Paris

Embarking on a journey to Disneyland Paris is a dream come true for any Disney enthusiast. From enchanting rides to captivating attractions, the park offers a magical experience for visitors of all ages. As a Disney enthusiast myself, I’ve put it on my Bucket List to visit every single Disney Park there is and I was so excited to visit Disneyland Paris!

Getting There and Back

Your Disneyland Paris adventure begins the moment you land. Charles de Gaulle Airport is the primary gateway, conveniently connected to the park by various transportation options. Opt for the Disneyland Express shuttle for a hassle-free journey directly to the park. Return journeys are equally convenient, ensuring a stress-free conclusion to your magical vacation. You can also get an Uber or a Bolt, but fair warning it is a little bit of a drive from the CDG airport.

Where to Stay

Choosing the right accommodation is crucial for a comfortable stay. Disneyland Paris offers a range of themed hotels to immerse you in the Disney magic. Whether you prefer the luxurious Disneyland Hotel or the family-friendly Sequoia Lodge, there’s an option for every budget and taste. We stayed at the Newport Bay Club and it was so convenient to walk to the parks and restaurants and so easy to get back at the end of the night when everyone was tired and didn’t have much “oomph” left in them. They do have a shuttle service to and from the parks to the hotels, but the walk is so nice that we opted to walk every day. They’ve opened The Disneyland Hotel since the last time we went and I for sure want to stay there next time.

Rides for Kids and Classic Attractions

Disneyland Paris caters to the youngest visitors with a plethora of kid-friendly rides. From the whimsical “It’s a Small World” to the magical “Dumbo the Flying Elephant,” children are in for an adventure. Don’t miss classic attractions like Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean, providing thrills for visitors of all ages. Crush’s Coaster at Walt Disney Studios Park is one of my favorite rides at any Disney Park (we rode it multiple times), and you can only experience it at Disneyland Paris (hence why we rode it so much). Pro Tip: there is a child swap option if you’re with your littles who can’t ride certain rides but you and your partner want to enjoy the rides as single riders and the wait is significantly shorter.

What to Wear

Dressing appropriately ensures a comfortable day of exploration. Given Paris’s unpredictable weather, layering is key. Comfortable footwear is a must for walking between attractions, and don’t forget to pack sunscreen and rain gear just in case. It rained almost the entire time we were there, so umbrellas and rainboots were a must for us.

Shopping Extravaganza

Disneyland Paris offers a shopping haven for Disney enthusiasts. Main Street, U.S.A. is lined with charming boutiques offering everything from character merchandise to exclusive park souvenirs. Collectibles, apparel, and accessories – if you’ve been to Disney World, then you know about Disney Springs and they have an equivalent to that shopping area in Disneyland Paris as well but all within walking distance to the parks. It’s like their own little town full of adventure.

Gluten-Free Dining

Catering to various dietary needs, Disneyland Paris boasts a range of gluten-free dining options. From specialty snacks to full meals, the park’s restaurants ensure that everyone can indulge in delicious Disney-themed cuisine without compromising dietary restrictions. Always ask for a Gluten-Free menu before you sit to make sure they can accommodate your restrictions. Don’t worry about the language barrier at Disneyland Paris if you don’t speak French because everyone will also speak English. If you’re spending more time in Paris and are looking for Gluten-Free dining, make sure to check out my post on GF in Paris as well.

Pro Tips for Disney Trivia Lovers

For the ultimate Disney fan, immerse yourself in the park’s rich history and trivia. Participate in guided tours to uncover hidden secrets, and keep an eye out for Disney characters making surprise appearances. We saw Jack Skellington on Halloween and our girls were SO excited. Don’t forget to explore the Walt Disney Studios Park for a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the magic of Disney filmmaking.

A trip to Disneyland Paris is more than just a vacation – it’s a magical journey filled with enchanting experiences. From the moment you arrive at the airport to the final farewell, every detail has been meticulously crafted to ensure your stay is nothing short of extraordinary. So, pack your bags, don your Minnie ears, and get ready for a Disneyland Paris adventure like no other!
