Hi friends! I’ve been getting some questions on my IG stories about what color lipstick I’ve been wearing lately and I can tell you that I am a creature of habit, and once I find something that I like I usually stick with it for a while. I’ve always been into a classic nude lip for as long as I can remember. I used to ask makeup artists that I worked with on shows when I was 12, what colors they were using on my face and then I would save up my money to go buy it.
First up, (pro tip) I always line my lips and then fill them in with the same liner. It gives my lips an overall pretty color and it also helps my lipstick stay on longer. Lately I’ve been loving the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner in the color Pillow Talk. It’s a great versatile color that goes with everything.
Being a makeup artist, my lipstick collection is pretty extensive…. no really, it’s RIDICULOUS. However I do have my favorites that I’ll use over and over and kind of forget that I have any other colors. lol Lately, over my lip liner I will use one of three colors.
- MAC Cosmo : (pink coco color) this is an amplified lipstick that goes on creamy and doesn’t dry out your lips.
- MAC Honey Love : (light beige with rose) this is a matte lip, so if you don’t like that feeling then I would recommend a complimenting lip gloss.
- MAC Fleshpot : (pale muted pinky beige) this is a satin formula that’s similar to the amplified but not as creamy.
