I get questions a lot about what my essentials for the baby are and we recently took a trip to the beach so I wanted to show you some of the things that I couldn’t have gone without!
First up is of course a bathing suit for Olivia! I got the perfect one on at this super cute shop on Etsy. The best part about this suit is the custom snaps on the bottom! So when I have to change a diaper, I don’t have to completely take everything off and I can just unsnap and snap her bathing suit just like a onesie! Score!
You can’t forget the sunscreen, especially with a baby, and our favorite is from The Honest Company. It’s an aerosol, which they say isn’t good to spray around the baby, but I just spray it in my hands and wipe her down!
Protecting Olivia from the sun for me isn’t just about sunscreen, so I love this pop up tent that can be used not only at the beach, but really anywhere! It’s pretty easy to set up, unless it’s a really windy day ….. However I sit Olivia in it and she acts as a weight until I can pin it down with the spikes. 🙂 Works like a charm.
Next is a great beach bag… You can kill 2 birds with one stone when Victoria’s Secret has great offers when you buy a certain amount, they send you a free beach tote! You just have to buy at the right time and you can get yourself a cute bathing suit AND a beach tote for free. Boom. I love a good bargain. Don’t you?? Here is one of the ones I have. Who says sexy can’t be full coverage? Love.
Aside from a fun beach chair and beach towel… I’d say you’re all set to go!

*Bonus tips :
- Baby powder takes sand off of your body easily, so keep a bottle in the car got easy clean up before you go home!
- Grab a gallon of H2O to wash up and getting excess sand off before getting in the car.
- Olivia isn’t playing in the sand yet, but if you have older littles don’t forget to bring some entertainment!!
